MedAppz and Alijor Announce Alliance
(WICHITA, KS, October 18, 2006) — MedAppz, the leader in Web-based electronic
health record (EHR) applications, and Alijor, the leader in connecting physicians, providers, and
patients online, today announced an informal partnership to explore synergies and opportunities
in healthcare technology.
"MedAppz has built a strong business delivering Web-based applications that manage
scheduling, electronic health records (EHR), and billing for physicians at walk-in care practices,"
said Brian Lichtlin, MedAppz CEO. "Alijor helps those same type of physicians use the Web to
connect quickly with patients who may be new to an area, can't find a specialist, or don't want to
wait weeks for an appointment."
Both companies serve the growing ambulatory care market, both use the Web to do it,
and both are focused on delivering efficiencies that help physicians spend focused, quality time
with patients. "We think there's a natural synergy," adds Lichtlin, "and MedAppz is intrigued by
both Alijor's model and its focus on the consumer."
Founded just nine months ago, Alijor has already enrolled 800 physicians nationwide,
and has helped thousands of clients quickly find the specific type of care they need. "Alijor accelerates and enables the revolutionary movement towards more consumer-oriented
healthcare," said Allison Scott, Alijor president. "More people than ever before are taking
healthcare management into their own hands. If you're one of those people, Alijor provides a
way to fully explain your problems so that we can, in essence, bring the doctors to you."
