What services does Alijor offer me as a patient?
On Alijor, patients can search for medical providers based on geographic area and medical need and can contact providers by phone or email. Patients can also post their medical needs and have providers respond.
How much does Alijor cost?
Alijor is free. That’s right, we said free as in you don’t have to spend a dime. Not only are we saving you time, but we’re also saving you money.
Do I have to login to search for and contact providers?
No, Alijor does not require you to login.
How do I search for providers?
Start here – We require that you enter a city & state or zip code as well as the specialty you’re searching for a provider in. You can narrow your search by gender and can even do a keyword search.
How do I know that a medical provider is capable of assisting me with my needs?
Alijor requests that healthcare providers create a profile based on their background and experience. We enable providers to list as much information about themselves as they would like. However, we do NOT do any independent review of healthcare providers or verify the accuracy of any information listed by providers. Patients must perform their own due diligence on the provider(s) they choose.
What do I include in my medical need posting?
We require an email, your location and a short description of your medical need. It is important to be detailed when providing your description to ensure providers fully understand your needs.

Can I cancel my medical need request?
You can cancel your request at any time by clicking “Delete My Posting” on the Manage My Posting page. You can access the Manage My Posting page from the confirmation email Alijor sent you when you posted your medical need.
How long will my request for medical services be listed on Alijor?
14 days unless you cancel your request earlier.
How long will it take for a provider to respond to my medical need posting?
We hope that you will receive a response within 24 hours.
How will I know if a provider has responded to my medical need posting?
When a provider responds, you will receive an email from Alijor notifying you that a provider has responded. To check the provider’s response, click on the link we provide in the notification email.

What services does Alijor offer me as a provider?
On Alijor, providers can post their practice, service and fee information. Patients can contact providers they would like to see by phone or email. Providers can also search patient postings for patients in their area and specialty and can contact them.
What information do I need to put in my Provider Profile?
We require minimal information: name, email, password, provider type and gender. However, we recommend that you provide as much information as possible as patients typically contact providers who have created more extensive profiles and provided fee information in their services posting.
Why should I enter my rates in my services posting?
Patients feel most comfortable choosing a provider when they feel that all information about the provider is presented openly to them. Our research shows that Alijor patients are more receptive to provider services postings that disclose pricing.
What happens once I post my services?
Once you post your services, you’re done. You only need to post your services once and your listing will remain on Alijor forever. Patients will then be able to find you when searching in your specialty and geographic area.

How do I sign up?
From the homepage, click "Join Now" or "Create new account". You can also call 1-888-725-4567 and speak to a customer service representative.
What is the cost?
It is free for providers to post their information on Alijor.com. You will never be charged for your information.
Why is it free?
Our goal is simply to help patients make more informed healthcare decisions. By providing your practice information, specialty, and fees for common services, you are helping us to do just that.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, you can remove your listing anytime you like. On your account page, you should see a link “Delete my Account” Be sure you want to delete your entire account before clicking this link, as changes are irreversible.
How do I edit my profile?
From the homepage, click “Provider login” and enter your email address and password. Once you are logged in, click “My Profile” and scroll down to click “edit” After you make your changes, click “Submit” to save.
How do I edit my service postings, add locations, and add specialties?
After logging in, click “My service postings” You may then edit or delete information, add locations, or add specialties to existing locations.
I created my account and filled in my service information. Why isn’t my posting showing up?
Your information will not show up until you validate your email address. After you create your account, Alijor will send you an email with a link to click to verify your account. If you cannot find the email in your inbox or bulk folders, give us a call at 1-888-7ALIJOR and we can validate your account for you.
I’m trying to upload a photo. Why isn’t it working?
Make sure your photo is in the proper format (jpeg or gif), and that it does not exceed the size limit (4 MB).
How do I respond to a patient posting?
To respond to a patient posting, first login to your account, then click “Find Patients”. Enter your search criteria and click search. You can then view patient postings by clicking “More info” or respond directly by clicking “Email this patient” Your response will be sent to the patient’s email through Alijor.com.

Allison Guimard started Alijor in 2005. She wanted to create a website where patients and providers could connect for free.

Alijor is the online healthcare marketplace where patients and providers connect. Our goal is to help patients find a provider that fits their needs and budget.
Where are you located?
Our headquarters are in Sunnyvale, California, but we provide services for patients and providers nationwide.
If you don’t charge doctors or patients to use the service, how do you make money?
Alijor will always be free for both patients and providers. We do offer providers the ability to advertise in our newsletters, which go out to more than 25,000 patients nationwide. We are also beginning to allow providers to advertise on the website.
How will advertising work?
We will be offering extremely competitive rates to advertise in our weekly newsletters. For more information about advertising in our newsletters, visit http://alijor.com/provideradvertisement1.aspx.
For website advertising, providers will be able to advertise based on their specialty and/or services provided. When a patient in their area searches, the provider will show up above other listings based on how much he or she is willing to spend each time a potential patient clicks on their advertisements. Providers who are willing to spend more will appear higher in the listings. Providers will pay Alijor only when someone clicks on their advertisement.
How did you get my information?
We retrieve provider information from website directories such as yellowpages.com.
How can you finance this?
We are funded in part from our advertisements, and also through a venture capital firm.
What exactly do you do?
We have 2 sections of our website:
1) Providers post their services and patients can search for providers in their specialty and geographic area and contact any providers through our website or from the contact information provided in the posting.
2) Patients post their medical needs and providers can respond at their convenience.
What do I have to do to sign up?
It should not take more than 5 minutes to create your provider profile and post your services. You can download a form to send in, OR sign up online by visiting http://alijor.com/providersignup.aspx. You can also call 1-888-725-4567 and speak to a customer service representative.
Why would anyone go to Alijor.com?
We offer patients a way to find various types of healthcare providers all on one website which we don’t believe any other website does. Furthermore, patients can very quickly see info on providers such as prices, any discounts they’re offering, and they’re specialties, on Alijor, which will enable them to make quicker and easier decisions about which doctor to see.
How do patients find you?
Many patients find us through word of mouth. We also advertise with Google and appear in many organic listings (search keywords include “Find a Provider”, “Find a Chiropractor”, etc.).

Our goal is to create a nationwide network of healthcare providers listing their services and practice information that will be easily searchable by patients looking for health services in their area.

As a provider, you’ll very quickly create a Profile and then will be able to post your services. Once you post your services, they’ll be on Alijor forever and when patients search for providers in your area and specialty, you’ll appear. Patients can choose to contact you by either phone or email. You can easily select that you do not want to be contacted by email when creating your profile.
